Privacy policy

We built PrivacyLynx around a simple idea: a privacy site should not spy on its readers. This policy explains, without jargon, what happens to data when you visit.

What we collect directly

Nothing. Version 1 of PrivacyLynx has no user accounts, no newsletter, no comments and no contact form. We never ask you for your name, email or any personal detail, and there is no field on the site to enter one.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Any non-essential cookie — for example those placed by an embedded partner — is only used with your consent, collected through our consent banner (Cookiebot). You can change your choice at any time from the cookie policy page. Purposes and storage durations for each cookie are listed there.

Audience measurement

If we ever measure audience, we will use a privacy-friendly, cookieless method that does not identify you individually and does not follow you across sites. This section will be updated before any such tool is switched on.

Server logs

Our host, Cloudflare, Inc., may keep short technical logs (such as IP address and request time) to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. These logs are managed by the host and are not used by us to profile you.

Affiliate links

Some pages contain affiliate links. When you follow one, the partner may set its own cookies and see that you came from PrivacyLynx. Those cookies are governed by the partner’s own policy. Every monetised block carries a visible “affiliate link” notice — see our affiliate disclosure for details.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you still have a question about privacy on this site, write to [email protected].

We will update this page whenever the site’s data practices change, and always before turning on any new tool that touches data. The date above reflects the latest version.
